Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport, Telecoms and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.02%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK), which rose 19.59% or 0.190 points to trade at 1.160 at the close. Meanwhile, ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT) added 14.42% or 1.090 points to end at 8.650 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 5.38% or 0.360 points to 7.050 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turcas Petrol AS (IS:TRCAS), which fell 4.35% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.540 at the close. Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK) declined 3.21% or 0.51 points to end at 15.39 and Vakif Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:VKGYO) was down 2.49% or 0.050 points to 1.960.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 231 to 128 and 49 ended unchanged.
Shares in ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT) rose to 52-week highs; up 14.42% or 1.090 to 8.650.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.17% or 2.10 to $1222.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.14% or 0.08 to hit $56.38 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.94% or 0.63 to trade at $66.13 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.07% to 5.3285, while EUR/TRY rose 0.22% to 6.1061.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 96.04.
