Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Transport and Electricity sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.95% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS), which rose 7.50% or 3.180 points to trade at 45.600 at the close. Meanwhile, ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT) added 4.81% or 0.180 points to end at 3.920 and BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS) was up 3.71% or 2.85 points to 79.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK), which fell 2.77% or 0.33 points to trade at 11.57 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) declined 2.48% or 0.180 points to end at 7.080 and Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) was down 2.45% or 0.310 points to 12.360.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 187 to 148 and 74 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.26% or 3.65 to $1415.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $59.39 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.03% or 0.02 to trade at $65.69 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.42% to 5.7939, while EUR/TRY rose 0.47% to 6.5907.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 95.688.
