Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Non-Metal Mineral Products and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN), which rose 6.75% or 0.110 points to trade at 1.740 at the close. Meanwhile, Afyon Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:AFYON) added 6.55% or 0.31 points to end at 5.04 and Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK) was up 5.04% or 0.060 points to 1.250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:PETKM), which fell 6.50% or 0.360 points to trade at 5.180 at the close. Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) declined 6.08% or 0.09 points to end at 1.39 and MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK) was down 4.98% or 0.73 points to 13.94.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 227 to 135 and 45 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.90% or 11.75 to $1287.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.61% or 0.90 to hit $56.70 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 1.35% or 0.88 to trade at $65.95 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.00% to 5.3732, while EUR/TRY fell 0.47% to 6.0846.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 96.655.
