Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Tourism, Basic Metals and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.85%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO), which rose 7.69% or 0.070 points to trade at 0.980 at the close. Meanwhile, Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) added 7.11% or 0.170 points to end at 2.560 and MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK) was up 6.44% or 0.82 points to 13.56 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL), which fell 4.33% or 0.62 points to trade at 13.70 at the close. Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) declined 2.38% or 0.010 points to end at 0.410 and Kordsa Global Endustriyel Iplik ve Kord Bezi Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KORDS) was down 2.29% or 0.25 points to 10.68.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 247 to 100 and 59 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.50% or 6.45 to $1301.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.43% or 0.25 to hit $58.36 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.71% or 0.48 to trade at $66.75 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.07% to 5.4613, while EUR/TRY rose 0.19% to 6.1886.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 96.560.
