Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport, Leasing & Factoring and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.85%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT), which rose 7.13% or 0.320 points to trade at 4.810 at the close. Meanwhile, Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO) added 5.48% or 0.980 points to end at 18.860 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 4.94% or 0.310 points to 6.590 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which fell 2.62% or 0.960 points to trade at 35.680 at the close. Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) declined 2.15% or 0.090 points to end at 4.090 and Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) was down 2.08% or 0.78 points to 36.64.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 218 to 132 and 59 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.42% or 5.50 to $1312.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 2.58% or 1.60 to hit $63.73 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 2.41% or 1.59 to trade at $67.64 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.25% to 3.9264, while EUR/TRY fell 0.78% to 4.8197.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 89.83.
