Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Food & Beverages and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which rose 8.45% or 0.120 points to trade at 1.540 at the close. Meanwhile, Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) added 7.03% or 1.68 points to end at 25.58 and Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL) was up 4.78% or 0.59 points to 12.93 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which fell 3.42% or 0.290 points to trade at 8.180 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) declined 3.03% or 0.190 points to end at 6.090 and Kerevitas Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KERVT) was down 2.98% or 0.07 points to 2.28.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 230 to 119 and 59 ended unchanged.
Shares in Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) rose to 52-week highs; rising 7.03% or 1.68 to 25.58.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.19% or 2.95 to $1546.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.70% or 0.95 to hit $56.73 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.75% or 0.45 to trade at $60.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.53% to 5.8408, while EUR/TRY rose 0.35% to 6.4585.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 98.363.
