Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport, Telecoms and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.83%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Bizim Toptan Satis Magazalari AS (IS:BIZIM), which rose 6.21% or 0.38 points to trade at 6.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Anel Elektrik Proje Taahhut ve Ticaret AS (IS:ANELE) added 6.08% or 0.160 points to end at 2.790 and ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT) was up 4.65% or 0.240 points to 5.400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alkim Alkali Kimya AS (IS:ALKIM), which fell 4.11% or 0.88 points to trade at 20.54 at the close. Dogus Otomotiv Servis ve Ticaret AS (IS:DOAS) declined 3.93% or 0.26 points to end at 6.36 and TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) was down 3.59% or 1.08 points to 29.02.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 185 to 157 and 66 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.12% or 1.50 to $1222.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.64% or 1.15 to hit $68.98 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.99% or 0.75 to trade at $74.80 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.52% to 4.9082, while EUR/TRY rose 0.49% to 5.7457.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 94.29.
