Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Holdings & Investments, Transport and Tourism sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.81%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT), which rose 19.91% or 0.840 points to trade at 5.060 at the close. Meanwhile, TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) added 9.68% or 2.70 points to end at 30.60 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) was up 5.65% or 0.290 points to 5.420 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EIS Eczacibasi Ilac Sinai ve Finansal Yatirimlar Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ECILC), which fell 4.02% or 0.150 points to trade at 3.580 at the close. Halk Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:HLGYO) declined 2.82% or 0.020 points to end at 0.690 and Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) was down 2.44% or 0.010 points to 0.400.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 182 to 155 and 69 ended unchanged.
Shares in TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) rose to all time highs; gaining 9.68% or 2.70 to 30.60.
Gold Futures for August delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $1225.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.43% or 0.30 to hit $69.31 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.16% or 0.12 to trade at $74.66 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.32% to 4.8509, while EUR/TRY fell 0.30% to 5.6558.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 94.47.
