Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Wood, Paper & Printing and Textile & Leather sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO), which rose 6.37% or 0.200 points to trade at 3.340 at the close. Meanwhile, Kerevitas Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KERVT) added 5.80% or 0.12 points to end at 2.19 and Migros Ticaret AS (IS:MGROS) was up 5.20% or 0.81 points to 16.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER), which fell 2.66% or 0.50 points to trade at 18.30 at the close. Deva Holding AS (IS:DEVA) declined 2.55% or 0.150 points to end at 5.730 and Sok Marketler (IS:SOKM) was down 2.23% or 0.23 points to 10.08.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 251 to 92 and 65 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.25% or 3.55 to $1418.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.57% or 0.32 to hit $56.34 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.54% or 0.34 to trade at $63.73 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.69% to 5.6626, while EUR/TRY fell 0.92% to 6.2964.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 97.792.
