Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO), which rose 5.59% or 0.950 points to trade at 17.950 at the close. Meanwhile, Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) added 3.56% or 0.570 points to end at 16.600 and Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN) was up 3.18% or 12.80 points to 415.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE), which fell 3.46% or 0.090 points to trade at 2.510 at the close. Tat Gida Sanayi AS (IS:TATGD) declined 3.40% or 0.140 points to end at 3.980 and Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) was down 3.29% or 0.120 points to 3.530.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 205 to 148 and 55 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.08% or 0.90 to $1200.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.58% or 1.74 to hit $69.28 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.98% or 1.53 to trade at $78.90 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.17% to 6.4514, while EUR/TRY fell 0.24% to 7.4785.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 95.22.
