Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Textile & Leather and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.69% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which rose 9.45% or 0.950 points to trade at 11.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) added 8.70% or 0.220 points to end at 2.750 and Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) was up 6.24% or 2.46 points to 41.86 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Net Turizm Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:NTTUR), which fell 2.02% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.940 at the close. Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) declined 1.95% or 0.080 points to end at 4.020 and Bagfas Bandirma Gubre Fabrikalari AS (IS:BAGFS) was down 1.85% or 0.22 points to 11.66.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 220 to 118 and 66 ended unchanged.
Shares in Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) rose to all time highs; up 9.45% or 0.950 to 11.000. Shares in Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) rose to 52-week highs; up 6.24% or 2.46 to 41.86.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.52% or 6.42 to $1252.22 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.39% or 0.59 to hit $43.12 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.63% or 0.73 to trade at $45.55 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.55% to 3.5116, while EUR/TRY fell 0.60% to 3.9211.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 97.30.
