Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Information Technology, Insurance and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK), which rose 6.24% or 20.00 points to trade at 340.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Ard Grup Bilisim Teknolojileri AS (IS:ARDYZ) added 5.36% or 1.64 points to end at 32.24 and Adel Kalemcilik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:ADEL) was up 5.02% or 1.88 points to 39.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN), which fell 3.60% or 0.78 points to trade at 20.86 at the close. Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) declined 3.60% or 3.70 points to end at 99.00 and Konya Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:KONYA) was down 2.65% or 187.50 points to 6,875.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 375 to 180 and 27 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.45% or 12.50 to $2,793.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.43% or 1.63 to hit $68.84 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.30% or 1.63 to trade at $72.36 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.03% to 34.26, while EUR/TRY rose 0.42% to 37.24.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 103.94.
