Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Basic Metals and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.61% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE), which rose 8.36% or 0.240 points to trade at 3.110 at the close. Meanwhile, SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) added 5.35% or 0.370 points to end at 7.280 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) was up 5.26% or 1.20 points to 24.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN), which fell 2.24% or 0.030 points to trade at 1.310 at the close. Logo Yazilim Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:LOGO) declined 2.12% or 1.200 points to end at 55.300 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) was down 1.55% or 0.34 points to 21.66.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 166 to 164 and 77 ended unchanged.
Shares in Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) rose to 52-week highs; rising 5.26% or 1.20 to 24.00.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.51% or 6.21 to $1220.91 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.98% or 0.44 to hit $45.48 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.55% or 0.26 to trade at $47.78 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.29% to 3.5671, while EUR/TRY fell 1.76% to 4.0714.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 95.56.
