Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Technology and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Hurriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacilik AS (IS:HURGZ), which rose 7.14% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.050 at the close. Meanwhile, Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) added 5.20% or 2.65 points to end at 53.65 and Koc Holding AS (IS:KCHOL) was up 5.12% or 0.72 points to 14.79 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR), which fell 5.15% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.290 at the close. Afyon Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:AFYON) declined 4.91% or 0.26 points to end at 5.03 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) was down 4.11% or 0.86 points to 20.04.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 186 to 179 and 43 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.11% or 1.30 to $1218.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.53% or 0.79 to hit $50.77 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 1.57% or 0.95 to trade at $59.45 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.10% to 5.2633, while EUR/TRY fell 0.18% to 5.9403.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 97.398.
