Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Sports and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL), which rose 8.05% or 0.81 points to trade at 10.87 at the close. Meanwhile, Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) added 7.69% or 0.060 points to end at 0.840 and Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) was up 6.25% or 0.050 points to 0.850 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bim Magazalar (IS:BIMAS), which fell 5.72% or 3.20 points to trade at 52.75 at the close. Borusan Mannesmann (IS:BRSAN) declined 4.27% or 0.38 points to end at 8.52 and Logo Yazilim (IS:LOGO) was down 3.03% or 1.400 points to 44.800.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 161 to 146 and 98 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.48% or 6.45 to $1350.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.43% or 0.20 to hit $46.38 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.45% or 0.22 to trade at $49.45 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.00% to 2.9289, while EUR/TRY fell 0.10% to 3.3010.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 94.85.
