Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Metal Products & Machinery and Tourism sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK), which rose 7.98% or 1.33 points to trade at 18.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) added 7.03% or 1.76 points to end at 26.80 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) was up 5.44% or 2.48 points to 48.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN), which fell 4.81% or 0.81 points to trade at 16.04 at the close. Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) declined 4.62% or 0.790 points to end at 16.310 and Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA) was down 4.51% or 0.110 points to 2.330.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 213 to 132 and 59 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.39% or 5.20 to $1323.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.32% or 0.22 to hit $67.97 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.24% or 0.18 to trade at $74.56 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.40% to 4.0501, while EUR/TRY fell 0.40% to 4.9068.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 91.44.
