Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Sports sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS), which rose 6.40% or 0.46 points to trade at 7.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) added 5.04% or 0.95 points to end at 19.80 and Anadolu Cam Sanayi AS (IS:ANACM) was up 4.24% or 0.120 points to 2.950 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ittifak Holding AS (IS:ITTFH), which fell 4.00% or 0.250 points to trade at 6.000 at the close. Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CEMTS) declined 2.74% or 0.160 points to end at 5.670 and Deva Holding AS (IS:DEVA) was down 2.44% or 0.140 points to 5.590.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 235 to 112 and 62 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.10% or 1.35 to $1420.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.39% or 0.22 to hit $56.42 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.13% or 0.08 to trade at $63.45 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.92% to 5.6188, while EUR/TRY fell 0.79% to 6.2596.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 97.817.
