Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Transport and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS), which rose 4.67% or 1.180 points to trade at 26.440 at the close. Meanwhile, TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) added 3.82% or 0.64 points to end at 17.41 and Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) was up 3.68% or 0.670 points to 18.870 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Afyon Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:AFYON), which fell 4.79% or 0.43 points to trade at 8.55 at the close. Polisan Holding AS (IS:POLHO) declined 2.05% or 0.160 points to end at 7.630 and Halk Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:HLGYO) was down 2.00% or 0.020 points to 0.980.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 200 to 145 and 60 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.24% or 3.12 to $1290.68 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.18% or 0.09 to hit $51.01 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.23% or 0.13 to trade at $56.48 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.34% to 3.6618, while EUR/TRY fell 0.98% to 4.3406.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 92.87.
