Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Banking and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which rose 19.73% or 0.290 points to trade at 1.760 at the close. Meanwhile, Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) added 5.23% or 0.090 points to end at 1.810 and Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN) was up 4.91% or 17.10 points to 365.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS), which fell 6.25% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (IS:TUPRS) declined 2.94% or 3.60 points to end at 119.00 and Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) was down 2.67% or 0.020 points to 0.730.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 221 to 137 and 47 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.03% or 0.35 to $1289.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $51.55 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.36% or 0.22 to trade at $60.26 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.53% to 5.4810, while EUR/TRY rose 0.49% to 6.2837.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 95.208.
