Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Electricity and Basic Metals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL), which rose 4.67% or 1.38 points to trade at 30.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) added 4.56% or 0.250 points to end at 5.730 and Tat Gida Sanayi AS (IS:TATGD) was up 3.98% or 0.220 points to 5.750 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aygaz AS (IS:AYGAZ), which fell 3.60% or 0.57 points to trade at 15.27 at the close. Turkiye Sinai Kalkinma Bankasi AS (IS:TSKB) declined 2.10% or 0.030 points to end at 1.400 and Vestel Beyaz Esya Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESBE) was down 1.84% or 0.190 points to 10.140.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 198 to 153 and 51 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.39% or 5.13 to $1315.73 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.74% or 0.87 to hit $50.77 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.87% or 1.03 to trade at $56.17 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.49% to 3.4710, while EUR/TRY fell 0.45% to 4.1658.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 91.53.
