Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Transport, Telecoms and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO), which rose 19.10% or 0.170 points to trade at 1.060 at the close. Meanwhile, Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO) added 6.44% or 0.720 points to end at 11.900 and SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) was up 6.25% or 0.400 points to 6.800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS), which fell 8.05% or 1.25 points to trade at 14.27 at the close. Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN) declined 5.68% or 0.420 points to end at 6.980 and Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) was down 3.96% or 0.840 points to 20.360.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 227 to 126 and 50 ended unchanged.
Shares in Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO) rose to all time highs; up 6.44% or 0.720 to 11.900.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.86% or 11.09 to $1283.81 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.17% or 0.10 to hit $58.09 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.05% or 0.03 to trade at $63.27 a barrel.
USD/TRY was unchanged 0.00% to 3.9660, while EUR/TRY rose 0.09% to 4.7012.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 93.18.
