Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Sports, Banking and Basic Metals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.15% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR), which rose 6.80% or 3.55 points to trade at 55.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Europen Endustri Insaat Sanayi Ve Ticaret Anonim Sirketi (IS:EUREN) added 6.66% or 0.99 points to end at 15.85 and SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) was up 4.31% or 1.90 points to 45.96 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF), which fell 5.26% or 8.80 points to trade at 158.50 at the close. Cw Enerji Muhendislik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:CWENE) declined 3.79% or 8.20 points to end at 208.00 and Kaleseramik Canakkale Kalebodur Seramik Sanayi AS (IS:KLSER) was down 3.74% or 1.95 points to 50.25.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 392 to 169 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR) rose to 52-week lows; gaining 6.80% or 3.55 to 55.75.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 2.05% or 50.30 to $2,406.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.54% or 1.25 to hit $80.05 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.23% or 1.05 to trade at $84.06 a barrel.
USD/TRY was unchanged 0.01% to 33.05, while EUR/TRY fell 0.10% to 36.01.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 104.06.
