Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Transport, Textile & Leather and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which rose 15.45% or 0.740 points to trade at 5.530 at the close. Meanwhile, Torunlar Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:TRGYO) added 9.44% or 0.52 points to end at 6.03 and Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL) was up 8.60% or 0.080 points to 1.010 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turkiye Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB), which fell 4.90% or 0.70 points to trade at 13.59 at the close. GSD Holding AS (IS:GSDHO) declined 2.33% or 0.020 points to end at 0.840 and Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA) was down 2.01% or 0.060 points to 2.920.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 230 to 121 and 54 ended unchanged.
Shares in Torunlar Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:TRGYO) rose to all time highs; up 9.44% or 0.52 to 6.03. Shares in Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL) rose to 52-week highs; rising 8.60% or 0.080 to 1.010.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.94% or 12.65 to $1351.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $49.16 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.33% or 0.18 to trade at $54.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.45% to 3.4097, while EUR/TRY rose 0.46% to 4.1016.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.73% at 91.54.
