Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Basic Metals and Textile & Leather sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which rose 7.04% or 1.920 points to trade at 29.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Anel Elektrik Proje Taahhut ve Ticaret AS (IS:ANELE) added 6.39% or 0.230 points to end at 3.830 and Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CEMTS) was up 6.09% or 0.270 points to 4.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER), which fell 4.24% or 1.00 points to trade at 22.56 at the close. Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) declined 3.98% or 0.230 points to end at 5.550 and TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) was down 3.65% or 0.88 points to 23.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 187 to 163 and 59 ended unchanged.
Shares in Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) rose to all time highs; rising 7.04% or 1.920 to 29.200.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.08% or 1.00 to $1319.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.16% or 0.73 to hit $62.28 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 1.25% or 0.83 to trade at $65.69 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.25% to 3.8057, while EUR/TRY fell 0.54% to 4.6440.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 90.56.
