Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Sports, Basic Metals and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which rose 8.49% or 0.450 points to trade at 5.750 at the close. Meanwhile, Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) added 5.49% or 0.45 points to end at 8.64 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 3.09% or 0.230 points to 7.670 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS), which fell 5.61% or 1.640 points to trade at 27.600 at the close. Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) declined 3.70% or 0.140 points to end at 3.640 and Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) was down 3.36% or 0.680 points to 19.560.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 250 to 103 and 55 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.15% or 2.00 to $1330.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.66% or 0.82 to hit $50.12 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.89% or 0.49 to trade at $55.65 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.43% to 3.4431, while EUR/TRY fell 0.43% to 4.0966.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 92.28.
