Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking, Information Technology and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.03% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI), which rose 13.13% or 13.00 points to trade at 112.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Indeks Bilgisayar Sistemleri Muhendislik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:INDES) added 5.41% or 0.360 points to end at 7.010 and Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAVI) was up 2.95% or 1.06 points to 36.96 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Polisan Holding AS (IS:POLHO), which fell 19.80% or 0.580 points to trade at 2.350 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) declined 4.66% or 0.360 points to end at 7.370 and Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) was down 3.86% or 0.480 points to 11.940.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 223 to 125 and 57 ended unchanged.
Shares in Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) rose to all time highs; up 13.13% or 13.00 to 112.00.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.18% or 2.45 to $1348.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.17% or 0.09 to hit $54.02 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $62.14 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.15% to 5.8312, while EUR/TRY rose 0.35% to 6.5387.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 96.947.
