Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Holdings & Investments, Basic Metals and Real Estate Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE), which rose 9.47% or 0.500 points to trade at 5.780 at the close. Meanwhile, Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) added 8.33% or 0.080 points to end at 1.040 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) was up 6.88% or 1.21 points to 18.81 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL), which fell 6.88% or 0.810 points to trade at 10.960 at the close. Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:ZOREN) declined 3.20% or 0.070 points to end at 2.120 and Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:AKENR) was down 3.13% or 0.030 points to 0.930.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 221 to 145 and 44 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) rose to all time highs; rising 6.88% or 1.21 to 18.81.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.93% or 12.40 to $1320.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.72% or 0.46 to hit $63.45 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.46% or 0.31 to trade at $66.98 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.53% to 3.8058, while EUR/TRY fell 0.10% to 4.6612.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 90.28.
