Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Transport, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Flap Kongre Toplanti Hizmetleri Otomotiv ve Turizm AS (IS:FLAP), which rose 5.90% or 0.170 points to trade at 3.050 at the close. Meanwhile, Kerevitas Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KERVT) added 5.06% or 0.09 points to end at 1.87 and Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) was up 3.46% or 0.160 points to 4.790 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT), which fell 12.53% or 0.510 points to trade at 3.560 at the close. Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) declined 5.38% or 0.630 points to end at 11.080 and Verusa Holding AS (IS:VERUS) was down 4.28% or 0.77 points to 17.23.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 192 to 156 and 59 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.18% or 2.55 to $1418.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.63% or 0.36 to hit $56.98 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.31% or 0.20 to trade at $63.62 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.30% to 5.6001, while EUR/TRY fell 0.25% to 6.3185.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.00% at 96.333.
