Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Information Technology and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which rose 4.94% or 0.260 points to trade at 5.520 at the close. Meanwhile, Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) added 3.59% or 0.170 points to end at 4.900 and Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME) was up 3.56% or 0.090 points to 2.620 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY), which fell 3.23% or 0.05 points to trade at 1.50 at the close. Teknosa Ic ve Dis Ticaret AS (IS:TKNSA) declined 2.64% or 0.080 points to end at 2.950 and Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (IS:TUPRS) was down 2.43% or 3.50 points to 140.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 175 to 166 and 66 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.33% or 17.65 to $1339.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $55.98 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.71% or 0.47 to trade at $66.03 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.14% to 5.2938, while EUR/TRY rose 0.08% to 5.9992.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 96.435.
