Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , Semiconductor and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted lost 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Chung Hung Steel Corp (TW:2014) added 10.00% or 1.95 points to end at 21.45 and Hai Kwang Enterprise Corp (TW:2038) was up 10.00% or 1.75 points to 19.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CX Technology Corp (TW:2415), which fell 9.93% or 3.45 points to trade at 31.30 at the close. Lead Data Inc (TW:2443) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and Elite Advanced Laser Corp (TW:3450) was down 7.83% or 15.50 points to 182.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101) rose to 3-years highs; rising 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.36% or 0.93 to $69.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.45% or 1.04 to hit $72.58 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 11.90 to trade at $2,680.00 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.11% to 31.62, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 100.07.
