Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Construction, Financials and Semiconductor sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted rose 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Sunspring Metal Corp (TW:2062), which rose 9.98% or 3.05 points to trade at 33.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Uniflex Technology Inc (TW:3321) added 9.98% or 2.30 points to end at 25.35 and Ritek Corp (TW:2349) was up 9.93% or 1.45 points to 16.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were C Sun Manufacturing Ltd (TW:2467), which fell 10.00% or 20.50 points to trade at 184.50 at the close. I-Chiun Precision Industry Co Ltd (TW:2486) declined 9.96% or 12.00 points to end at 108.50 and RichWave Technology Corp (TW:4968) was down 9.92% or 23.50 points to 213.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Sunspring Metal Corp (TW:2062) rose to 3-years highs; rising 9.98% or 3.05 to 33.60. Shares in Uniflex Technology Inc (TW:3321) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 9.98% or 2.30 to 25.35.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.45% or 0.34 to $75.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.44% or 0.35 to hit $78.70 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 8.35 to trade at $2,433.85 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.06% to 32.85, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.05% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 104.42.
