Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Glass, Hotels and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted gained 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Giantplus Technology Co Ltd (TW:8105), which rose 10.00% or 2.05 points to trade at 22.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Young Optics Inc (TW:3504) added 10.00% or 5.50 points to end at 60.50 and Mirle Automation Corp (TW:2464) was up 9.95% or 4.05 points to 44.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sun Race Sturmey-Archer Inc (TW:1526), which fell 7.68% or 2.55 points to trade at 30.65 at the close. Sintronic Technology Inc (TW:3536) declined 6.25% or 1.40 points to end at 21.00 and BizLink Holding Inc (TW:3665) was down 5.47% or 13.50 points to 233.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 438 to 338 and 105 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.14% or 0.07 to $48.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.23% or 0.12 to hit $52.60 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.00% or 0.03 to trade at $1291.57 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.04% to 30.336, while TWD/CNY fell 0.23% to 0.2197.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 93.48.
