Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Mining and Manufacturing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia fell 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia were Yevroplan PAO (MCX:EPLN), which rose 12.99% or 83.0 points to trade at 722.0 at the close. Meanwhile, MVideo (MCX:MVID) added 3.93% or 15.30 points to end at 405.00 and PIK (MCX:PIKK) was up 1.99% or 6.20 points to 317.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lenta Ltd (MCX:LNTADR), which fell 4.27% or 14 points to trade at 314 at the close. Polyus OAO (MCX:PLZL) declined 3.51% or 171.0 points to end at 4697.0 and Moskovskaya Birzha OAO (MCX:MOEX) was down 3.45% or 4.22 points to 118.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 132 to 86 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Lenta Ltd (MCX:LNTADR) fell to 3-years lows; losing 4.27% or 14 to 314.
The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was down 1.07% to 18.450.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.85% or 10.80 to $1266.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $57.49 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.35% or 0.22 to trade at $62.67 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 0.11% to 58.7362, while EUR/RUB fell 0.36% to 69.4313.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 93.31.
