Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Power, Telecoms and Manufacturing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia declined 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia were Tatneft OAO Pref (MCX:TATN_p), which rose 2.41% or 14.70 points to trade at 625.80 at the close. Meanwhile, X5 Retail Group NV (MCX:FIVEDR) added 1.76% or 39.0 points to end at 2249.0 and Tatneft-3 (MCX:TATN) was up 1.74% or 12.50 points to 730.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Rosseti ao (MCX:RSTI), which fell 4.21% or 0.0519 points to trade at 1.1800 at the close. AFK Sistema (MCX:AFKS) declined 2.77% or 0.330 points to end at 11.571 and FSK EES (MCX:FEES) was down 2.49% or 0.0045 points to 0.1760.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 162 to 69 and 13 ended unchanged.
The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was up 4.86% to 20.050.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.20% or 2.85 to $1410.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.08% or 1.24 to hit $58.34 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.70% or 1.13 to trade at $65.35 a barrel.
USD/RUB was up 0.48% to 62.9642, while EUR/RUB rose 0.07% to 70.5937.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 96.968.
