Investing.com – Russia stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Manufacturing, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia rose 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia were Safmar Finansovye Investitsii PAO (MCX:SFIN), which rose 5.73% or 42.4 points to trade at 783.0 at the close. Meanwhile, MegaFon OAO (MCX:MFON) added 5.08% or 26.00 points to end at 538.00 and NMTP (MCX:NMTP) was up 3.55% or 0.2300 points to 6.7000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were United Company Rusal Plc (MCX:RUAL), which fell 3.92% or 0.830 points to trade at 20.370 at the close. Inter rao ees (MCX:IRAO) declined 2.82% or 0.1090 points to end at 3.7600 and Polymetal International PLC (MCX:POLY) was down 2.16% or 12.00 points to 543.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 122 to 80 and 19 ended unchanged.
The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was up 0.82% to 29.440.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.26% or 3.10 to $1201.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.77% or 0.52 to hit $67.25 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.43% or 0.33 to trade at $76.17 a barrel.
USD/RUB was up 0.88% to 69.8690, while EUR/RUB rose 0.32% to 80.7560.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 95.35.
