Investing.com – Russia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining, Telecoms and Manufacturing sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Moscow, the MICEX added 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the MICEX were MosEnrg (MCX:MSNG), which rose 5.14% or 0.1495 points to trade at 3.0555 at the close. Meanwhile, Polyus Zoloto OAO (MCX:PLZL) added 4.80% or 207.0 points to end at 4523.0 and Magnit (MCX:MGNT) was up 2.47% or 247.0 points to 10247.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yevroplan PAO (MCX:EPLN), which fell 2.44% or 19.0 points to trade at 761.0 at the close. Gruppa LSR PAO (MCX:LSRG) declined 2.44% or 20.5 points to end at 820.0 and Trubnaya Metallurgicheskaya Kompaniya OAO (MCX:TRMK) was down 1.36% or 0.95 points to 69.13.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 111 to 103 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in MosEnrg (MCX:MSNG) rose to 5-year highs; rising 5.14% or 0.1495 to 3.0555.
The Russian VIX, which measures the implied volatility of MICEX options, was down 0.76% to 19.670.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.34% or 4.48 to $1319.78 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.35% or 0.63 to hit $45.94 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.23% or 0.12 to trade at $51.30 a barrel.
USD/RUB was up 0.50% to 58.7298, while EUR/RUB rose 0.86% to 70.5826.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 91.97.
