Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 1.10% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Randstad NV (AS:RAND), which rose 1.22% or 0.52 points to trade at 43.13 at the close. Meanwhile, ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL) added 0.88% or 0.34 points to end at 39.00 and Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) was up 0.27% or 0.09 points to 32.01 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Philips Lighting NV (AS:LIGHT), which fell 9.65% or 2.04 points to trade at 19.10 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 3.49% or 0.770 points to end at 21.285 and Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) was down 3.05% or 0.072 points to 2.287.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 88 to 37 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Philips Lighting NV (AS:LIGHT) fell to all time lows; down 9.65% or 2.04 to 19.10. Shares in ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.49% or 0.770 to 21.285.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 3.70% to 18.74.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.21% or 0.14 to $67.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.51% or 0.39 to hit $77.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.90% or 11.10 to trade at $1240.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.30% to 1.1408, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.8888.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 96.12.
