Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Software & Computer Services and Support Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 1.06%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI), which rose 2.96% or 4.35 points to trade at 151.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Prosus (AS:PRX) added 2.92% or 0.94 points to end at 33.09 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) was up 2.53% or 21.00 points to 850.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shell PLC (AS:SHEL), which fell 0.12% or 0.04 points to trade at 33.30 at the close. Unilever PLC (AS:ULVR) declined 0.11% or 0.06 points to end at 53.30 and Randstad NV (AS:RAND) was up 0.04% or 0.02 points to 44.71.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 75 to 25 and 9 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.55% or 0.43 to $78.21 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.53% or 0.44 to hit $82.19 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.36% or 8.75 to trade at $2,390.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.03% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.00% at 104.11.
