Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.91%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which rose 2.66% or 0.278 points to trade at 10.722 at the close. Meanwhile, ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) added 1.82% or 2.88 points to end at 161.18 and Koninklijke DSM NV (AS:DSMN) was up 1.68% or 1.58 points to 95.74 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unilever NV DRC (AS:UNc), which fell 0.80% or 0.39 points to trade at 48.34 at the close. WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) declined 0.44% or 0.64 points to end at 146.00 and Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) was up 0.04% or 0.001 points to 2.772.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 95 to 35 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) rose to 52-week highs; up 0.04% or 0.001 to 2.772.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 0.12% to 13.05.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.28% or 0.72 to $56.79 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.28% or 0.84 to hit $66.58 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.50% or 6.55 to trade at $1292.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.04% to 1.1242, while EUR/GBP fell 1.05% to 0.8540.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 97.148.
