Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Software & Computer Services and Support Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Adyen NV (AS:ADYEN), which rose 3.88% or 49.80 points to trade at 1,334.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Akzo Nobel NV (AS:AKZO) added 2.47% or 1.42 points to end at 58.86 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) was up 2.15% or 0.44 points to 20.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR), which fell 1.95% or 2.35 points to trade at 118.05 at the close. Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG) declined 1.03% or 0.24 points to end at 23.15 and ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL) was down 0.83% or 0.36 points to 43.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 70 to 33 and 9 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.71% or 1.18 to $70.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.40% or 1.02 to hit $73.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.74% or 19.25 to trade at $2,589.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.30% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 100.60.
