Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which rose 2.84% or 0.44 points to trade at 15.77 at the close. Meanwhile, ASM International NV (AS:ASMI) added 2.28% or 15.40 points to end at 691.20 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) was up 1.72% or 16.40 points to 969.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were IMCD NV (AS:IMCD), which fell 1.57% or 2.15 points to trade at 134.40 at the close. Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:PHG) declined 1.04% or 0.25 points to end at 23.86 and Heineken (AS:HEIN) was down 1.01% or 0.96 points to 93.88.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 49 to 47 and 13 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.11% or 0.87 to $78.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.03% or 0.85 to hit $83.47 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.82% or 19.35 to trade at $2,329.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 105.09.
