Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC declined 1.72% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Coca-Cola Femsa SAB de CV (BMV:KOFUBL), which rose 2.24% or 3.73 points to trade at 170.03 at the close. Meanwhile, Becle SA (BMV:CUERVO) added 1.09% or 0.35 points to end at 32.48 and Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:AC) was up 0.58% or 1.02 points to 178.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gentera SAB de CV (BMV:GENTERA), which fell 6.00% or 1.28 points to trade at 20.05 at the close. Regional SAB de CV (BMV:RA) declined 5.01% or 6.63 points to end at 125.70 and Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:TLEVISACPO) was down 4.92% or 0.37 points to 7.15.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 151 to 94 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:TLEVISACPO) fell to all time lows; losing 4.92% or 0.37 to 7.15.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.11% or 2.80 to $2,524.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 4.53% or 3.33 to hit $70.22 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.07% or 0.05 to trade at $73.67 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.07% to 19.80, while EUR/MXN unchanged 0.00% to 21.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 101.69.
