Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financial Services, Consumer Staples and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC lost 1.18% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALSEA), which rose 3.27% or 1.830 points to trade at 57.800 at the close. Meanwhile, Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) added 2.94% or 9.54 points to end at 333.81 and El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1) was up 2.92% or 4.25 points to 150.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB), which fell 5.15% or 1.01 points to trade at 18.60 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB) declined 4.25% or 15.15 points to end at 341.48 and BanRegio Grupo Financiero SAB de CV (MX:RA) was down 3.93% or 4.43 points to 108.15.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 233 to 85 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) fell to all time lows; losing 5.15% or 1.01 to 18.60. Shares in El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.92% or 4.25 to 150.00.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.00% or 12.20 to $1233.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 4.53% or 3.13 to hit $66.04 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 4.63% or 3.70 to trade at $76.13 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.58% to 19.2942, while EUR/MXN fell 0.51% to 22.1348.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 95.68.
