Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC lost 1.12% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:TLEVISACPO), which rose 3.53% or 0.25 points to trade at 7.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:LABB) added 2.12% or 0.41 points to end at 19.74 and Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV:VOLARA) was up 1.63% or 0.19 points to 11.82 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Del Bajio SA Institution De Banca Multiple (BMV:BBAJIOO), which fell 4.16% or 1.94 points to trade at 44.67 at the close. Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (BMV:GFINBURO) declined 3.41% or 1.57 points to end at 44.45 and Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (BMV:GAPB) was down 3.28% or 11.32 points to 333.63.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 156 to 72 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banco Del Bajio SA Institution De Banca Multiple (BMV:BBAJIOO) fell to 52-week lows; losing 4.16% or 1.94 to 44.67.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.64% or 16.30 to $2,526.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.43% or 0.99 to hit $68.16 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.69% or 1.23 to trade at $71.46 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.60% to 19.98, while EUR/MXN rose 0.38% to 22.16.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 101.15.
