Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financial Services, Healthcare and Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC fell 1.03% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC), which rose 1.67% or 2.18 points to trade at 132.72 at the close. Meanwhile, Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) added 0.70% or 0.310 points to end at 44.610 and VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA) was up 0.70% or 0.12 points to 17.18 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which fell 4.21% or 0.920 points to trade at 20.920 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB) declined 3.38% or 11.57 points to end at 330.72 and Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) was down 3.21% or 12.38 points to 373.39.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 128 to 109 and 11 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.06% or 0.70 to $1265.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.85% or 1.64 to hit $55.98 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $61.26 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.03% to 18.8639, while EUR/MXN rose 0.03% to 22.2650.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 93.53.
