Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financial Services, Industrials and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC fell 0.82% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which rose 8.03% or 1.010 points to trade at 13.590 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) added 6.71% or 53.86 points to end at 857.13 and Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (MX:TLVACPO) was up 5.80% or 3.14 points to 57.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (MX:GAPB), which fell 6.28% or 10.91 points to trade at 162.90 at the close. Banco Del Bajio SA Institution De Banca Multiple (MX:BBAJIOO) declined 5.62% or 2.370 points to end at 39.800 and Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA) was down 5.10% or 4.36 points to 81.05.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 153 to 131 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (MX:GAPB) fell to 52-week lows; down 6.28% or 10.91 to 162.90.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.59% or 7.30 to $1225.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.45% or 0.97 to hit $66.07 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.77% or 1.37 to trade at $75.97 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.12% to 20.0382, while EUR/MXN fell 0.35% to 22.7356.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 96.76.
