Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC lost 0.77%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV (BMV:ORBIA), which rose 3.28% or 0.61 points to trade at 19.22 at the close. Meanwhile, Regional SAB de CV (BMV:RA) added 2.52% or 3.09 points to end at 125.69 and Becle SA (BMV:CUERVO) was up 2.07% or 0.54 points to 26.66 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gentera SAB de CV (BMV:GENTERA), which fell 2.91% or 0.79 points to trade at 26.40 at the close. Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:GMEXICOB) declined 2.87% or 3.15 points to end at 106.51 and America Movil SAB de CV M (BMV:AMXB) was down 2.72% or 0.43 points to 15.39.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 146 to 77 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.54% or 14.50 to $2,691.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.61% or 1.89 to hit $70.47 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.12% or 1.60 to trade at $74.03 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 1.99% to 20.19, while EUR/MXN rose 1.20% to 21.65.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 104.81.
