Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Materials, Financial Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC fell 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC), which rose 2.01% or 2.36 points to trade at 119.92 at the close. Meanwhile, PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) added 1.51% or 3.06 points to end at 205.50 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:OMAB) was up 1.42% or 1.790 points to 127.810 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which fell 1.71% or 5.54 points to trade at 319.20 at the close. Grupo Financiero Banorte (MX:GFNORTEO) declined 1.42% or 1.860 points to end at 129.000 and BanRegio Grupo Financiero SAB de CV (MX:RA) was down 1.41% or 1.65 points to 115.66.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 84 to 78 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:OMAB) rose to all time highs; up 1.42% or 1.790 to 127.810.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.22% or 2.60 to $1207.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.49% or 0.34 to hit $70.11 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.46% or 0.36 to trade at $78.00 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.56% to 19.1938, while EUR/MXN rose 0.71% to 22.2984.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 95.07.
