Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financial Services, Telecoms Services and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.88% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:BIMBOA), which rose 2.23% or 0.980 points to trade at 45.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO) added 1.84% or 0.280 points to end at 15.460 and Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA) was up 0.62% or 0.09 points to 14.66 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA), which fell 3.52% or 0.840 points to trade at 23.010 at the close. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) declined 3.18% or 0.730 points to end at 22.250 and Grupo Financiero Banorte (MX:GFNORTEO) was down 3.11% or 3.730 points to 116.180.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 141 to 117 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) fell to 3-years lows; falling 3.52% or 0.840 to 23.010.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.21% or 2.72 to $1283.22 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $51.88 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.71% or 0.41 to trade at $57.34 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.48% to 19.0833, while EUR/MXN rose 0.24% to 22.4216.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 93.72.
