Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Materials, Industrials and Financial Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA), which rose 1.50% or 0.540 points to trade at 36.460 at the close. Meanwhile, Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX) added 1.68% or 0.440 points to end at 26.580 and Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) was up 1.42% or 0.460 points to 32.800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Empresas ICA , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICA), which fell 3.02% or 0.120 points to trade at 3.860 at the close. Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) declined 2.45% or 10.920 points to end at 435.630 and La Comercial (MX:LCMRUBC) was down 1.50% or 0.26 points to 17.12.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 93 to 81 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.50% or 0.540 to 36.460.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.34% or 4.45 to $1312.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.28% or 1.52 to hit $44.83 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 3.61% or 1.76 to trade at $46.97 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.01% to 18.8173, while EUR/MXN rose 0.06% to 20.9762.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 96.02.
